Review Process

   Detailed Review Process

The Indian Journal for Law and Legal Research adheres to a Double-Blind Peer Review system. This system ensures that the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

Process Overview:

  1. each manuscript is assigned a unique code [e.g., (HLG)IJLRA -000) upon submission.
  2. The author’s information is removed from the manuscript to maintain anonymity.
  3. The manuscript is then forwarded to two independent reviewers (who are not part of our honorary editorial board).
  4. Each reviewer evaluates the manuscript and assigns it a score out of 5.
  5. Manuscripts that receive a combined score of 6 or more out of 10 are approved for final publication.

  • To support the costs associated with providing high-quality publishing services, authors must pay a one-time manuscript processing fee for works accepted following peer review.
  • While traditional journals rely on a reader-pays system, where institutional libraries bear the cost of accessing content, the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research (HLG)IJLRA operates under a fully open-access model. This ensures that all published articles are freely available to the academic community and the general public, without any access charge.

As a result, the (HLG)IJLRA charges a nominal one-time processing fee for each submission. This fee helps sustain the journal’s editorial processes, website maintenance, hosting and domain expenses, and other necessary services such as DOI registration, Impact Factor, and Indexing, all of which contribute to the quality and visibility of the authors’ work.

  • Single-Authored Manuscript: INR 0/-
  • Co-Authored Manuscript: INR 0/
  • Foreign Authors (Outside India): $0

*No fee is required at the time of submission.
*The manuscript processing fee is only payable after the manuscript has been reviewed and accepted for publication by (HLG)IJLRA.
