Who Can Submit?

We welcome submissions from academics, research scholars, legal professionals, law students, and anyone interested in law. Original manuscripts in the form of articles, book reviews, case comments, and legislative comments related to recent legal developments are encouraged.

Types of Submissions Accepted

The HLG( IJLRA) invites original, unpublished works from individuals in the legal field, including:

  • Long Articles: 3000-6000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Essays/Short Articles: 1500-3000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Case Notes and Legislative Comments: 1200-2500 words

 Submission Guidelines

  It is essential to ‘adhere to the following guidelines for publication. Detailed publication guidelines can be found here.

 Processing Charges

  • Single Author: ₹800
  • Co-Authors: ₹1000

 General Instructions for Submission

  • Long articles and short articles must include an abstract.
  • Each article may have up to three co-authors.
  • All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review by any other journal. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification from the publication process.
  • While we encourage compliance with word limits, flexibility may be granted based on the article’s quality.

 Formatting Requirements

  • The first page of the manuscript should include the title, the authors’ names, and their institutional affiliations, followed by an abstract.
  • The second page should start the main body of the manuscript.
  • Author names and institutional affiliations must be included within the manuscript.
  • The main body should be formatted in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes should be in Times New Roman, size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. All headings must have a consistent format.
  • Texts and footnotes should comply with the Bluebook 19th or 20th Edition.
